With the summer heat setting foot, we’re all craving for chilled mojitos or basically anything that relieves us from the scorching heat of the sun. But if you’re like me, old school, and someone who prefers popsicles over a drink, you’re in for a treat. Popsicles make me feel nostalgic, they remind me of my childhood and how I used to get so excited on hearing the ice-cream man ring that bell. At times my mum had to drag me away because kids and ice cream = cavities, and as a parent, she didn’t want that.
Woah! It felt nice, going down memory lane and thinking of those good old days, now let’s get back to 2021. Today, I’m going to take you through some of my favorite ice candies or popsicles and how these have become an inspiration to my collection of sunglasses. I don’t like sunnies that are pitch dark and boring, I’m a colorful person and so is my taste in sunglasses. So if you feel what I feel and want to add some color to your sunglasses wardrobe, this is it.
Here are some of my favorite popsicle-inspired sunglasses. You need to buy them ASAP!
Blackberry-Rose Ice Pops = Wine Tinted Sunglasses
I love the tangy flavor of blackberries and when you combine it with the sweetness of roses, it takes it to another level. These ice pops are a more sophisticated version of the traditional kala khatta and rose gola that we had as kids. They remind me of those really cool dark purple-tinted sunnies – the color of these lenses could be anything from deep maroon to wine and which look absolutely stunning.
Pineapple Pink Lemonade Popsicles = Pink Tinted Sunglasses
Girls like all things pink. My love for pink began from the time my parents gifted me my first Barbie but as I grew, it was all about the tangy and fruity flavor of my favorite pineapple pink lemonade popsicle. Lemonades are refreshing and so is this ice candy. Now as an adult if there’s anything pink that I really adore – it has to be those wire-framed pink-tinted sunglasses. They bring back tons of memories and obviously give major summer vibes.
Kiwi Ice Pops = Green Tinted Sunglasses
Thinking of a tropical holiday with nothing but greenery all around you? Well, this mouthwatering ice pop is one of the coolest ways to extinguish the summer sizzle. Its fruity flavor and mesmerizing color make me drool. And now that we’re talking about all things green, imagine yourself at a beach sporting these really cool green-tinted sunnies. Green has to be my summer color – it’s vibrant and also good for the eyes.
Raspberry Coconut Creamsicles = Purple Tinted Sunglasses
While I’m not really a vegan, this ice popsicle has to be one of my favorites. It’s vegan, gluten-free, and surprisingly sugar-free as well. If you want something that tastes tropical and summery, this one’s for you. Aside from how it tastes, I really love how these look – that purple hue with red undertones and oh-so-tempting just like these shades. Check them out!
Coconut Pineapple Ice Pops = Yellow Tinted Sunglasses
Can we ever have a summer drink or ice cream that’s complete without a dash of coconut milk, no right? If you love coconut, you’re going to love this healthy summer treat. The coconut-pineapple ice pops are super creamy yet refreshing at the same time. Talking about the appearance – it has a lovely, light yellowish color to it which obviously comes from the pineapples and I absolutely love it. Well, if yellow is your happy color, do pick one of these cute yellow-tinted sunnies, and trust me you’ll not regret it.
Blue Lagoon Cocktail Popsicles = Blue Tinted Sunglasses
The blue lagoon cocktail popsicle is an amalgamation of blue curacao, vodka, and lemonade. The flavor is light and refreshing just the way I like it. It is one the most fabulous shades of bright blue I’ve ever seen. The blue color of these popsicles is simply mouthwatering, refreshing, and perfect for summer. Whenever I look at these popsicles they remind me of these really cool sunglasses at Lenskart. The blue color instantly calms me down – check these out to believe it.
Now, no matter which frozen treat you try over the next few months – enjoy every moment of this season because summers come just once and we need to make the best of it. Also, do not forget to take care of your eyes. Stay safe, and happy summer ya’ll!
