With the summer heat setting foot, we’re all craving for chilled mojitos or basically anything that relieves us from the scorching heat of the sun. But if you’re like me, old school, and someone who prefers popsicles over a drink, you’re in for a treat. Popsicles make me feel nostalgic, they remind me of my childhood and how I used to get so excited on hearing the ice-cream man ring that bell. At times my mum had to drag me away because kids and ice cream = cavities, and as a parent, she didn’t want that.
Woah! It felt nice, going down memory lane and thinking of those good old days, now let’s get back to 2021. Today, I’m going to take you through some of my favorite ice candies or popsicles and how these have become an inspiration to my collection of sunglasses. I don’t like sunnies that are pitch dark and boring, I’m a colorful person and so is my taste in sunglasses. I love the tangy flavor of blackberries and when you combine it with the sweetness of roses, it takes it to another level. These ice pops are a more sophisticated version of the traditional kala khatta and rose gola that we had as kids. They remind me of those really cool dark purple-tinted sunnies – the color of these lenses could be anything from deep maroon to wine and which look absolutely stunning.
